Now that your smart meter is sending us your accurate readings on a regular basis, your bills can change. There are a few reasons for this:
- Your previous bills were based on estimated readings, so won’t have been your actual energy usage.
- You may have changed from a multi-rate meter to a single rate. This means your tariff will have changed as well.
- If you have solar panels or other micro-generation, your previous electricity meter may have caused your readings to be reversed. This happens when your meter isn’t compatible with your solar panel equipment. Now that a smart meter has been installed, your readings have been corrected.
