I have a Smart Meter and want to take a manual reading

There are many different smart meters in operation and the way you access information from them may be slightly different. On most meters, the LCD display is showing your current meter reading as standard. On some meters, you may have to cycle through the screens to find it. It will be followed by 'kWh' so you'll know when you've found it.

Why can’t I submit meter readings in My Account?

If you have a Smart Meter that we’ve installed, you won’t need to submit readings through My Account as they’ll be sent to us by your Smart Meter automatically.

What happens if the Smart Meter stops sending readings?

If your Smart Meter stops communicating readings to us and you start receiving bills with estimated readings, we’ll investigate the issue for you. This is usually because your meter is blocked by something in front of it, so make sure there are no obstructions. Depending on the issue, we’d either fix the current Smart Meter or replace it.
