The quickest and easiest way to submit your meter reading is through our Mobile App (Available to download now for Android or IOS). 

You can also submit a read through MyAccount, through our automated reads telephone service which you can access by calling us, or by emailing us your reading. 

Submitting my reading via the app

  • Log in to your Shell Energy app. 
  • A Navigation bar will appear at the bottom of your page.
  • Click the ‘Meters’ icon on the Navigation bar.
  • Select which fuel you’d like to submit your reading for - ‘Electricity’ and/or ‘Gas’.
  • Once selected, a keypad will appear and you can enter your reading. You’ll also see a ‘Torch’ button to help you if your meter is in a difficult place. 
  • Click the blue ‘Submit’ button and your reading will be logged.

 

If you’ve submitted a wrong reading, don’t worry, you have 24 hours to delete it and you can re-enter the correct reading straight away.

Submitting my reading via My Account

  • Log in to My Account.
  • Click on ‘Submit a reading’, which is the third option at the top of your home page.
  • Select which fuel you’d like to submit your reading for - ‘Electricity’ and/or ‘Gas’.
  • Enter your reading in the first box.
  • Below this, you’ll see a box labelled ‘Reading date’ which can and should be changed to match the date that you read your meter.
  • Click the blue ‘Submit’ button and your reading will be logged.
  • The read will appear with your previous ones below.

You can also submit your readings to us using our automated phone line, it’s quick and simple to use, simply call 0330 094 5800 and select option 1 to get started.
