You can take Shell Energy with you if you’d like.
If you’re moving today, have already moved, or will be moving within the next 30 days, the quickest and easiest way to let us know is by giving us your new details online.
When will I get my final bill?
Once you’ve told us you’re moving home, we’ll issue your final bill within 14 days. And if you’re taking us with you, we’ll set up a new account for you.
When will my final payment be taken?
When we’ve sent you your final bill, the balance on your account will be due around 14 days afterwards - the exact date will be confirmed in your bill.
What about refunds?
If you’re due a refund, this will be sent out automatically within 10 working days of us issuing your final bill.
What happens to my online account?
You’ll still be able to access your online account to view bills and make payments on your account after we’ve closed it.
Moved to a home we supply?
If you’ve just moved to a home we supply, you can use our online service to set up your Shell Energy account. We’ll need:
- Your full name and contact details
- Your opening meter reading
- The date you moved in
I’m renting out my property, but I’m not living there
If the property is unoccupied the property owner is liable for energy bills, so you’ll still need to contact us and we can create an account for you.
