The frosted display shows you the temperature when you're close to it and disappears when you walk away. And it's easy to install yourself.

Will the Nest Thermostat E work with my heating system?
The Nest Thermostat E is compatible with almost all central heating systems, including:
- Combi boilers
- Heat-only boilers
- Heat pumps (heating only)
- Zoned systems
- District heating with electrical control valves
however it is not suitable for customers with hot water tanks, electric storage heating or electrical under-floor heating.
What do I need for the Nest Thermostat E to work in my home?
To have the Nest Thermostat E successfully installed, you must have a fully working central heating system, plus:
- A dual fuel supply from Shell Energy
- A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi with broadband internet
- An active email address
- A smartphone or tablet with iOS 9.0 or higher, Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) or higher
- A power socket with 100–240 V
How do i install my Nest Thermostat E?
Most people install the Nest Thermostat E in 60 minutes or less, because you don’t need to access your heating system. The Heat Link E goes in the same spot as your current wired thermostat. And you can put the Nest Thermostat E anywhere you like.

What happens to my heating if my Wi-Fi goes down?
If you are without Wi-Fi or internet you are still able to control your heating and schedule through the Nest device.
Do Nests work with prepayment meters?
The Nest Thermostat E is available on selected Shell Energy tariffs. Currently, these tariffs are only available to customers with credit meters. Click here to see available tariffs.
When will I get my Nest Thermostat E?
When you switch to a tariff that includes our Nest Thermostat E offer, we'll email within 30 days of your tariff going live to claim your free Nest Thermostat E. Once you have claimed the Nest Thermostat E, it will be dispatched to the address on your Shell Energy energy account within 14 days.
You must claim your Nest Thermostat E within 90 days of getting your email. Unfortunately, after this, the web link will expire, and you won't be able to claim it.

I'm moving home, can I take my Nest Thermostat E with me?
You can take your tariff and Nest Thermostat E with you to your new home.
The Nest Thermostat E should be professionally uninstalled from your current property and re-installed at your new property if you wish to take it with you.
