At the moment, some smart meters work with more than one supplier and some don't.
It's currently expected soon that all meters should be able to maintain smart functionality when customers switch suppliers. If you've already joined us with a smart meter, we'll do our best to re-enable the smart functionality.
In the meantime, you'll need to send us regular meter readings. Your meter should display a reading as a default, usually as a set of five or six digits, and sometimes with a register '1' or ‘R1’.
If the reading isn’t being displayed, there may be a set of instructions with your meter, but if there isn’t, you’ll need to contact us.
