If you’ve recently switched to us, it’s normal to receive a bill from your old supplier. This will be your final bill from them, it’ll show you whether you’ve got anything left to pay them or if you’re in credit and due a refund.
You can receive your final bill up to six weeks after switching.
If you continue to receive bills from your previous supplier, there may have been an error when you switched. If this is the case, please check your Shell Energy bill for the following:
- Are the address details correct?
- Are the meter details we hold correct?
- Known as a Gas Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN) and an Electric Meter Point Administration Number (MPAN)
You can check your meter details on your bill. Your meter numbers are located within the gas and electricity statement of your bill.
Compare the gas supply number (MPRN) and the electricity supply number (MPAN) on your bill from us and your previous supplier.
If there is a difference in these numbers, please don’t worry, get in touch with us here and we can help get things back on track within four weeks.
