A few days before your supply switches to us, we’ll send you an email asking for your first meter reading. The email will contain a link that will take you to your online accounts ‘Submit a reading’ page.
If you’ve switched your gas and electricity, you’ll get two separate emails requesting each reading.
It’s important that you submit your opening reading as soon as you receive the email. This is because there’s only a short window to submit them - five days before your switch date and five days after.
If submitted too late, your readings won’t be used to open your account with us or close your account with your previous supplier.
What about monthly readings?
It's important that you send us a reading each month. By giving us a monthly meter reading, you help us keep your bills as accurate as possible. We'll send you an email once a month to ask for your latest meter readings. It's sent a few days before we create your monthly bill.
