If you’ve chosen faster switching, we’ll email you to ask for your first meter reading as soon as we’ve processed your application. A link in the email will take you to your online account, where you can enter your meter readings.  

If you’ve not agreed to faster switching, we’ll send you an email a few days before your switch to ask for your first meter reading. Again, a link in the email will take you to your online account, where you can enter your meter readings. 

If you’ve switched both your gas and electricity, we’ll send one email asking for both readings. 

Please send us your opening meter reading as soon as you receive the email. There’s only a short window to send your readings. If you submit them too late, we can’t use them to open your account, or close your account with your previous supplier.

Should I send monthly meter readings?

Sending us monthly meter readings means we can keep your bills as accurate as possible. We'll email you once a month to ask for your meter readings. We’ll send this a few days before we create your monthly bill.
