A cooling-off period is a 14-day window where you can change your mind about signing up for goods or services without paying a fee.

How does the cooling-off period affect my switch?

If you agree to faster switching when you apply to join us, you’ll switch in as little as two days. This means you’ll switch during your 14-day cooling-off period. By agreeing to faster switching, you agree to be billed for any energy you use during your cooling-off period.

Once you’ve switched, you’ll still be in your cooling-off period, but you won’t be able to cancel the switch. You can, however, choose a new tariff with us, move to a new supplier, or return to your old supplier without paying an exit fee.

If you don’t agree to faster switching, you’ll have a 14-day cooling-off period. If you change your mind about the switch, you can cancel during those 14 days without switching to us, or paying an exit fee.
