If you pay by monthly Direct Debit but think a variable Direct Debit may suit your needs better, you can change it quickly and easily in My Account. Here’s how: 

  1. Click on ‘Bills and payments’ at the top of your screen
  2. Select the ‘My payment method’ from the drop-down options
  3. You'll see your bank details, and below that a button for 'Other ways to pay'. Click on this 
  4. You’ll see payment options for monthly or variable Direct Debit. Select ‘variable’ go to the next page to confirm your decision
  5. Next, you'll receive confirmation that your payment method has changed, and details of when this will happen

How long does it take to change my Direct Debit payment method? 

It takes 10 working days for the change to be fully processed and visible in your online account.

It’s important to note that if your next monthly Direct Debit is due to be taken in the next 10 working days, it will still be taken. Once this payment is received, we’ll activate your variable Direct Debit.
