If you pay by monthly Direct Debit but think the variable Direct Debit better suits your needs, you can make the change quickly and easily through your Online Account by following these four steps;
- Click on ‘Bills and payments’ at the top of your screen
- Select the ‘My payment method’ from the drop down options
- You’ll be presented with two payment options, monthly or variable Direct Debit, select variable and click ‘Update’
- Confirmation that your request has been accepted
How long will it take to change?
It takes five working days for the change to be processed and visible in your online account.
It’s important to note that if your next monthly Direct Debit is due to be taken in the next 10 working days, it will still be taken. Once this payment is received, we’ll put your variable Direct Debit in place.
