What’s changed

The way you log in to manage your online account has changed. You'll now need to use an email address and a password to log in, rather than using your account number or username. If you have multiple energy or broadband accounts, you can now access all of them using the same login details.

Why we’ve changed it

Less to remember with the new email based login

You don’t need to find your account number every time you want to log in.

Manage all your accounts in one place

All of your Shell Energy services will be linked and shown in one place.

Increased security

We’ve added an extra layer of security for your password so your information is even safer.

What do you need to do?

Energy customers who joined before 1st April 2020 and want to access their online account will need to activate first.

Step 1

Login using your current details (either your email address or account number/username).

Step 2

You will arrive on the ‘New way to login’ screen where you can read about all the benefits of your new online account. When you are ready, you can go ahead and activate it.

Step 3

We’ll then send you an activation email from noreply@mail.shellenergy.co.uk with the subject line ‘Activate your account’. If you haven’t received this email in a couple of minutes, please make sure to check your spam and junk folders.

Step 4

Go ahead and click on the ‘Activate your account’ button in the email that we send you.

Step 5

You’ll then be taken to a page where you will need to update your password. Please follow the character requirements on screen.

After you’ve set a new password, your account will be successfully activated.
