All our Shell Energy smart prepayment meters come with a friendly credit feature. This prevents you losing supply outside shop opening hours, or during the night.

It is important to know that you’ll need to pay back any friendly credit next time you top up. 

As long as you have credit on your meter, or have activated emergency credit, you won’t lose supply on:

* Weekdays, between 4pm and 10am

* Weekends, starting at 4pm Friday and ending 10am Monday

* Bank holidays


If your meter is out of credit and off supply before 8pm, friendly credit won’t be available and you’ll need to top up as soon as possible.
