When you opt to pay by monthly Direct Debit we'll recommend a monthly amount based on how much energy we expect you to use, based on your previous data and selected tariff.
If you are newly on supply this will be based on readings provided to your old supplier and the figures you quote on your registration form.
We'll monitor your account and let you know if you've used more or less energy than we expected and whether your monthly payment needs changing in line with your usage costs.
You can use our Direct Debit calculator at any time to take a look at whether your monthly payment amount is covering your usage. To do this, log in to your online account.
It's worth noting, If you've chosen a 'fixed' tariff, this will mean that your standing charges and unit rates are protected and won't change until your contract ends, even if your monthly payment changes.
