If you’re an energy customer and want to change the date we take your monthly Direct Debit, you can do this in My Account. For those on a variable Direct Debit, the payment date will always be 14 days after the bill is produced and, unfortunately, can’t be changed.
We'll need five full working days to make changes to your monthly Direct Debit date.
This means that if your current payment date is within the next five working days, the payment may still leave your bank account on the original date. Your new payment date will then begin in time for next month's payment. This is to make sure that your account stays on track and no payments are missed.
For example, if you normally pay on the 28th of the month, but change it to the second day of the month, we'll take a payment on the 28th and again on the second day for that month. From that point on, it’ll then be taken on the second day of each month.
Shell Energy Broadband customers are unable to change their Direct Debit payment due date. Payment is due 14 days after your bill is issued.
