How can I be carbon neutral?

Our tariffs already come with 100% renewable electricity*. However, there are still some carbon dioxide emissions associated with the production of this energy.

When you sign up to one of our Go Further tariffs, we'll offset the full lifecycle carbon dioxide emissions associated with the production, processing, and distribution of your home energy.

What is a carbon footprint?

A carbon footprint refers to the carbon dioxide emissions produced when we make and use products in our day-to-day lives.

When you use energy to power your home, carbon dioxide emissions are generated from the production, processing, and distribution of the energy as well as when you use it.

So, your home energy carbon footprint is made up of all of the carbon dioxide emissions associated with your electricity and gas.

*The electricity you consume is certified by Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGOs), which guarantees that for every unit of electricity you use, a unit of renewable electricity is put into the grid by renewable generators in the UK.
