We’ll email to ask for your first meter reading as soon as your application is processed. If you can’t send us a meter reading on the day you apply, you’ll have up to five days to submit your first reading.
If you can’t send us a meter reading within the window, we'll use an estimated reading to begin your supply. Your previous supplier will use the same estimated reading to close your account.
We’ll base this estimate on your previous meter readings and energy use. If the estimated reading is very different to your actual reading, we can raise a dispute to change the reading.
