Are there any government or charitable organisations that can support me?

There’s lots of support though various government organisations and charities to give you advice or that can help if you’re struggling to pay:

  • StepChange Debt Charity- The UK’s largest provider of free, independent debt advice, helping thousands of people every week to overcome debt problems. Talk to them for free on 0800 138 1111 (Monday to Friday 8am-8pm and Saturday 8am-4pm)
  • National Debtline (or call 0808 808 4000)
  • Citizens Advice Bureau (or call 0808 223 1133)
  • Money Advice Service (or call 0300 500 5000)
  • Turn2us is a national charity that supports people in financial hardship and assists in giving them access to welfare benefits, charitable grants and support services.
